Most of what shapes a working relationship isn't a skills gap. It's a pattern - a way of reading situations that was useful once and now runs whether it fits or not. Patterns are hard to see from the inside, which is why they survive restructures, mediation and training.
This check looks at five patterns that show up often in workplaces. It asks about you, not about anyone you manage or support - that's deliberate, and it's the more useful place to start.
What this is, and what it is not
This is a reflective development tool. It is not a clinical assessment, a psychometric test, or a diagnostic instrument, and it does not identify or screen for any mental health condition.
It should not be used to inform hiring, promotion, performance management or any other employment decision, and it is not a substitute for professional psychological support. If it surfaces something that feels significant, that is a reason to speak with a qualified practitioner - not a reason to act on it at work.
